How to get abs and some truths about insulin

Like most people, we all want those superhero abs, but in the real world, most of us have a nice flabby layer of fat covering our eye popping core muscles. A lot of this is due to our insulin resistance. Most will then tend to gravitate to new trends they read about, “Low fat”, “Keto!”, “no carbs”. Although there are benefits to restricting your carbs, it won’t fix your problem and will hinder your muscle gains you worked so hard on to get. Here are a few helpful tips to improve your insulin sensitivity.

  1. Invest in a high quality fish oil. Studies show it will help reduce your blood sugar levels, especially when combined with exercise.

  2. Start your meals off right, eat your protein, then fat then carbs last. This will also lower your blood sugar levels, and fill you up quicker causing you to eat less carbs. The only time you would switch this process is your post workout meal, in which you would start with carbs to guide the protein into the muscles.

  3. Take 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar at night. Again this lowers blood sugar levels throughout the night when you’re sleeping.

So go get out there and work hard, and get those abs showing!
